6/13/15 Update- Hooray! the album art is now fixed. So while for me this app does work for controlling Spotify on my Mac including the media keys, the remote control app from my iphone6 wont connect and the album art is not working and if your menu bar doesnt have enough room to display the artist/album info the entire app will vanish from menu bar. So I sent an email to the dev listed on the app description and recieved a very prompt response taking note of the issues they could look into to fix and detailing that the album art and other issues are due to the change in the Spotify app low Applescript support. So certain functionality like the album art is waiting on Spotify devs to fix their API support. Completely understandable and as the basic funtionality I was looking for is working, I have still pleased in my purchase and look forward to when Spotify fixes it.

Purchased this program because wanted to control Plex music playback and this doesn’t work at all! Would like refund….

If you want a menubar program this could be great, it’s definitely well designed. I didn’t realize this isn’t a stand alone program that only works if Spotify, Rdio, etc. are open which defeats the purpose of using this unless you want some cool eyecandy on your desktop with the album art or a menubar icon. Also last.fm isn’t working as their api key is invalid.

I decided to try this out because I liked the idea behind it and because it looks to fill a requirement I have. I have to say that it doesn’t do a bad job, there’s a lot of customazation available so you can make sure it suits your needs and it’s ubobtrusive while letting you manage your music quickly. There is room for improvement if the design department and I’ll update my review if I encounter any bugs.

Highly reccomend this music controller. It has many, many features and is quite customizable. It’s realy great, and works just as advertised.

I absolutely love this app because the interface and performance is good.This app makes it more convenient to listen to music on my Macbook.I can now listen to my musics without controling in iTunes!Highly recommend it to all of music lovers.Don’t hesitate,just download!

I cannot tell you how many music apps I have downloaded to try to accomplish what Simplify does all in one app. This one really works. It provides album art (and the art really works), notifications, a desktop player, a menu bar player, and various themes and even a preference pane that makes the keyboard shortcuts work. All of these feature work in El Capitan. It is worth every penny.

I’ve tried countless music controllers, and was looking again for one that worked well, WITH album artwork for Spotify. This one totally surpassed my expectations. The varietly of “skins” is fantastic. Some very unique ones. My favorite is Sidecar.

Hi, Today I bought the simplify, but not work when I share a song to Facebook. The errors says: Failed to share message No authentication and error posting message. Your help.

It has many, many features and is quite customizable . app so easy for use and really great .now i can listen to my musics without controlling in iTunes . i will recommend with my friend and recommend it to all of mudic lovers . thanks developer for app .

I’m a huge music fan and keep music in both spotify and iTunes. This app is a perfect one to play music from different apps in one player. However, the album picture shown when playing music is not in high resolution, which is a bit annoying. Over all, this is a good app for music fans using a lot of music apps.

This app makes listening to music a much easier and more enjoyable experience. I’ve been trying to find a way to control soundcloud without having to go to another tab each time and this is a great way to do that. It is also very customizable so thats awesome as well

Made listening to music on multiple platforms so so much easier. Because some tracks are only on a specific music program, it is nice to be able to switch through them with an awesome app like this. Very customizable, easy to use, and overall awesome! Definitely would recommend! 9/10 at least.

This app is great. You can customize everything you need for it. I love how it works for multiple sound players, it allows me to switch between spotify and iTunes which is a great perk. On top of this, it also grabs the album art. I love this feature. I also think its cool that you can change the theme.

This app can learn the music that Im listening and has a beautiful interface! Very good! I loved it!

I cannot emphasize how cleanly this app is designed. The developer has great taste and it cascades into the fit and polish of the UI. I have no tried the iOS remote yet, but I suspect it will work without a hitch. This app is worth the money.
